One of the world’s greatest wonders: Men and Women.
“Bone of my bone flesh of my flesh,” Adam continued, as he beheld the woman who would become his sufficient helper, lover, and supporter. His right hand, his beautiful wife and mother of his children. Together they could do and accomplishing wonderful things. Eve had something Adam needed and Adam for Eve. They needed each other and deeply loved each other.
AS I’VE HEARD MANY TIMES FROM A WISE FRIEND, “WE DESPERATELY NEED EACH OTHER.”
Men and women need each other, but it is only effective if they also want each other. It’s one thing to need Jesus in my life but if I need him without wanting him, how is that going to work? He loves me relentlessly but I will be the one missing out if I need him without wanting him. I need you Jesus and I want you. Men we need you to become the men you were created to be and even more so, we want you to become men of exceptional integrity.
Us ladies do not need a man to make us happy or content. We don’t need a man to feel loved or to belong. We do not need a man to find ourself. Understand this, it is not that we don’t need men, on the contrary, we desperately need men in our lives. Not men, but good men. You have something to offer that only you can bring to a woman’s world. Men, I think that maybe you’ve forgotten that you desperately need us too. Where would you be without us? In a pickle. The truth is we need each other. I find it rather fascinating to watch relations between men and women. Just the other day at work a couple came in and the man grumbled under his breath, “YOU HEIFER” (referring to his wife). She seemed to be use to this strange term of endearment. I mean, some may find it fetching to be called a young female cow. Heifer has a nice ring to it. I’ve heard husbands whistle for their wives as if they were calling a dog and other times I have watched the wife drag her husband around like she had him on a leash and treated him with absolutely no respect. She is in full command over him and he knows it. Then you see the couples that simply enjoy one another and honor each other in their words and by their actions.
WHERE THERE IS LACK OF VALUE, THERE IS LACK OF RESPECT. GETTING TO KNOW A PERSON REQUIRES TIME AND INVESTMENT. MAYBE VALUING AND RESPECTING ONE ANOTHER GOES ALONG WITH THAT.
Ladies, don’t you think it’s time that we get off our bandwagon and become strong women, leading men to become strong men? It’s not up to a woman or man to make the other strong or complete. That is not what I’m saying, but what if we are holding one another back from reaching his/her full potential? Are we for or against each other? Have we become entirely self-absorbed that we take no regard or responsibility for our actions? It’s a mad world with women wanting to be entitled to everything that exist and men taking advantage of authority and control. Women have rights, yes, but it gets way out of hand when they refuse to see their need for men. Women, that is not how we accomplish things. That is never and will never be the answer. We are stronger together and if we don’t see the importance of having good men In our lives, we won’t get very far. Bitter never made it better.
IT IS TIME TO HOLD EACH OTHER TO A HIGHER STANDARD, REACHING THAT BAR BECAUSE AS MEN AND WOMEN, WE CHOOSE TO BE BETTER THAN OUR CULTURAL STATUS.
I’m glad women have been taught to fight for themselves. It’s invigorating to see a girl raise her sword and stand confidently in the world. If women are not using their strength to empower men to become the protectors they should be, their self-centered stand will eventually turn against them and the sword they use will be like a flimsy piece of rubber that creates stinging wounds rather than severing lies and restoring truth. I want to speak to the men who have lost their place and have been slandered, shamed, mislabeled or disregarded. I heard a lady say once that all men are perverts. I listened, disheartened at such a corrupt label. That is not who you are. It can be who you overcame but it is not your name. You are called and created for a very distinct purpose. I think we better start looking men in the face, as empowered women saying, “We want you and we need you…I am independent and strong, yes, but I want you on my team.” Team. Women, who’s team are you on? Your own? Men, who’s team are you on? Enough of our ridiculous stands against each other. Perhaps a reason women struggle to discover their full potential is because men have ceased to discover their own. Empowered men, empower women and vise versa. It’s the way it goes. Strong men equal strong women and guess what? Strong women equal strong men.
In a quick survey, I asked some of my guy friends to use three words to describe a strong woman.
Here are words they chose:
These are words that empower. These are words, we as women, can embrace.
I also asked some ladies to choose words to describe a strong man. Here’s what they chose:
ALLOW THESE WORDS TO BRING COURAGE AND INSPIRATION. MAY THEY DRIVE US TO PURSUE THOSE VERY THINGS AND EMPOWER US TO BECOME MORE THEN AVERAGE AND BETTER THAN A STEREOTYPE.
I’m sorry women, but your march is in vain. Our freedom, our rights, our privacy, our respect, our dreams, our strength, it all matters. However, it wouldn’t matter without men. Men are not the problem because they have a problem. If men are the problem, there’s no solution. We are stuck with them. And guys, let’s be honest, you’d be lost without us women. Stand up courageously, men. Stop poking fun, mocking at the females struggling to hold their pitiful signs above their heads and empower them by simply caring for them and providing them with truthful statements.
MEN, WE WILL NOT BE OBJECTS THAT YOU POSSESS ANYMORE THAN YOU WILL BE A TOOL THAT WE USE.
How much longer oh men and women of today will you continue to listen to the deceiver and point your finger of blame. We are all guilty of eating forbidden fruit in life and are all responsible for our own actions. We are entitled to whatever we can be found worthy of. Whether it be good or bad. For what good is a title if you deny yourself to be worthy of it?
Men and women are called to love whether they believe it or not. Let love be that which binds us together. Where true love is found, humility, selfishness, patience, compassion, forgiveness and every other good thing will follow.
It’s not all about you and it’s not all about us. There is a bigger picture here that should come into focus within each of our hearts. One that makes us holler in a moment of epiphany, “THAT’S IT!”
ANYTHING BIGGER THAN YOURSELF WILL REQUIRE SACRIFICE, AND TO LOVE SOMEONE IS MUCH BIGGER.
